01 // Overview

A commercial office study designed to foster collaboration and wellness. Features large vertical garden atriums, double-skinned frosted facades, and smart light systems that integrate building services with natural plant filters.

02 // Design Challenge

Integrating high-density commercial workspaces in a tight urban plot in London while maximizing access to natural daylight for all interior office ranks and reducing artificial cooling/heating loads.

03 // Concept Direction

Based on the fluid dynamics of wind currents. The building shape tapers to minimize wind resistance while opening central voids to carry natural daylight deep into the office floors, reducing artificial lighting dependencies.

04 // Spatial Strategy

A series of staggered office decks arranged around three vertical garden atriums. The zoning creates neighborhood-like work blocks separated by open-air communication bridges, ensuring every desk is within 10 meters of a natural plant wall or double-skin window.

05 // Material & Atmosphere

A facade of double-skin light-diffusing frosted glass elements, paired with recycled structural steel framing. Interiors feature living plant walls and local terracotta rain-screen cladding on external volumes.

06 // Sustainability Considerations

Optimizes daylight penetration to minimize artificial lighting load, relies on vertical atriums to support passive stack-effect exhaust ventilation, and incorporates recycled structural steel for low embodied carbon.
