Organic Villa Atrium: The Craft of Curved Concrete

Written by Lead Architect Published May 12, 2026

The Organic Villa Atrium project represents a milestone in our computational design workflow. Our client requested a structure that would feel weightless yet physically continuous with the surrounding hills.

To achieve this, we developed a double-curved white concrete canopy that acts as both the roof and the primary load-bearing frame. Working closely with local fabricators, we utilized custom robotic formwork to pour the concrete in-situ, ensuring a seamless satin finish.

The center of the villa features a massive glass-roofed atrium. As sunlight passes through the high-performance double-glazed glass, it reflects off the curved white walls, bathing the living spaces in a soft, non-glare illumination.

This project stands as a testament to the marriage of parametric design and artisanal craftsmanship, proving that biomorphic form and structural integrity can coexist in perfect harmony.
